Dos Cosas

Two mega-squee things happened in the past 48 hours.
Thing 1.) I got flowers. And not just any flowers. They are handcrafted metal flowers that Alex made just for me. Because he is just that awesome and super-duper.
Aren't they just gorgeous? If you disagree you are clearly colorblind. According to Alex the metal changes colors as it's heated and cooled, which is why there are bits of flowers that are blue, silver, and bronze. Special-made calico flowers. Pretty.
Kael loves the calico flowers, too.
Thing 2.) I FINALLY HAVE A MIXER!!!! A standing mixer, even! No more stirring batter with wooden spoons until my arm falls off. Whoo-hoo! Many thanks to Sharon for buying it (EDIT: technically it is from Judy -- Alex's Grandma/Sharon's Mommy -- who Sharon bought the mixer for originally, and who decided to give it to me) and Alex for bringing it to Oklahoma.
It's so shiny! And it has two attachments. One for normal mixing and also a dough hook attachment. I have a sudden urge to make bread.
In our excitement we took extremely silly pictures. That's true love right there.

I deserve no credit, really. It was my mother's and she thought you might want it, so it's thanks to her! All I did was bring it from her house to ours and hand it off to The Boy!

Edited accordingly. ;-)

Those flowers are ...WOW. I love them. It looks like they took a lot of work. They remind me of the movie "9" for some reason.
Yay for the mixer. I have one and I love it!
